The Wharton Global High School Investment Competition Brings Budding Leaders Together
New York’s Stuyvesant High School earned first place at the 2026 Wharton Global High School Investment Competition. The competition was held by the donor-supported Wharton Global Youth Program and brought students from several countries to campus to connect and learn from top-notch speakers, including Connor Barwin, WG’23. Now that registration for next year’s challenge is live, learn more about how this year’s finals inspired young leaders to leverage their creativity and analytical prowess — all while making a positive impact.
WEMBA Marks 50 Years of Redefining Business Education
Wharton Magazine chronicles 50 years of Wharton’s MBA Program for Executives with a thoughtful list of 50 highlights — beginning with the launch of the program and ending with an invitation for WEMBA alumni from all cohorts to attend its 50th Anniversary and Reunion celebration in Philadelphia on October 3.
To honor half a century of WEMBA, alumni are encouraged to support their Reunion gift through The Wharton Fund, which fuels the student experience for generations to come and powers ongoing alumni benefits. Last year’s graduating Global WEMBA Cohort inspired the School with 100% participation in its Reunion gift. Every single member of the cohort came together — from around the globe — to show how much Wharton means to them.
Lauder’s Politics and Policy Program Draws Key Connections Beyond the Classroom
The Lauder Institute’s Politics and Policy Program (PPP) launched in 2024 with the support of Lauder Board of Governors member Pavel Oliva, G’00, WG’00, and Kimberly Oliva, GED’99, GRD’03. The program empowers Lauder students to explore how political and regulatory forces affect business. PPP students receive special training, conduct up to 10 days of fieldwork, and draft a policy brief on a topic of their choice.
