WGES Lunchs in the Greater Washington, DC area

On Thursday, 19 September we met at the Hunters Inn and bar in Potomac MD for a really good discussion some personal service history and also the current situation downtown. A picture of our Wharton group is attached.

We were well represented as military alums as well as Wharton guys. The Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force, all included, were discussed with some meaningful accolades to the Air Force and its policy (per the Marines) of constructing new airfields. Officers club first and eventually an airstrip. It was agreed we flyboys know how to live.

Particular emphasis and discussion centered on the fact that there is actually a lot of smart people downtown whom much of the time tries to do the right thing. The question posed was how with all that talent do we get into such messy conflicts, except it was agreed Ukraine.

The somewhat thin consensus was pride.
