Fall 2025 Course Details

  • Course title: Platform Strategy: Build, Grow, Monetize, and Lead Digital Platforms

About the Wharton

Online Alumni Course

Thanks to an innovative partnership between Wharton Online and Lifelong Learning, Wharton alumni — from Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) to members of the Wharton Graduate Emeritus Society (WGES) — have exclusive access to Wharton Online course materials. The alumni versions of Wharton Online courses offer the following benefits:

  • One to two live Q&A sessions with the professor*
  • Free tuition — registration is just $25
  • Digital certificate available for those who complete the course requirements

2025: Corporate Governance with Professor Mary-Hunter "Mae" McDonnell

This course offered an introduction to corporate governance, exploring the laws, principles, and norms that guide organizations globally, and enabled attendees to craft their own profile for board service.

2024: Driving Strategic Innovation with Professor Harbir Singh

This course demystified how to compete in rapidly changing and complex environments where innovation and change are the key driving factors for success. It offered best practices for managing complex projects and partnerships with real-world examples.

2023: Executive Presence and Influence with Professors Mike Useem and Cade Massey

This course provided the tools to develop an impactful executive presence through the strategic application of persuasive techniques like personal growth, building a diverse network, and effectively communicating your vision.

2022: Artificial Intelligence for Business with Professor Kartik Hosanagar

This course covered the fundamentals of big data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, providing attendees with tools to incorporate these technologies into their business strategies.

  • A PennKey is required to register for the Wharton Online Alumni Course. If you don’t have a PennKey username or forgot your password, visit PennKey Support.
  • In order to access the Wharton Online Alumni Course, you must have a connection to the internet. Videos are only available via online streaming — you will not be able to download videos for viewing offline.
