Pursuing startup ambitions means long nights of creative brainstorming and business planning. At Wharton, it also means having access to a state-of-the-art maker space, a test kitchen from a chef’s daydream—even a virtual reality cave. The new Entrepreneurship Building will be the first dedicated space for cross-campus student collaborative activities, containing elements modeled after today’s modern workplace, from incubators to open-floor plan offices reminiscent of leading tech companies. The building at 40th and Sansom Streets will provide up to 70,000 square feet of space comprising co-working spaces, pods for student teams, a colloquium hall, a cafe, and more.
The Penn Wharton China Center in Beijing is the University’s first physical presence outside of the U.S. and its most significant investment outside of the Philadelphia campus. As a result, no other elite business school has the same degree of Chinese engagement and partnership as Wharton. Centrally located in Beijing and a locus for scholarship with impact on academia, business, government, and society, the Penn Wharton China Center provides an ideal space for lectures, symposia, and classes, serving the University and its Chinese partners in higher education.
