Campus
Two campus buildings serve the Wharton and Penn community and spark collaboration, promote teaching excellence, foster innovative learning, and advance analytics that inform decision-making. When you name a space in one of these highly active buildings, your commitment is visible to those who study, meet, learn, and thrive in a world-leading campus environment.
Tangen Hall
Wharton-led and Penn-wide, Tangen Hall ushers in a new era of innovation and entrepreneurship at Penn as the home of Venture Lab. The state-of-the-art spaces have been specifically designed to spark creativity, foster collaboration, and enable students to prototype products. The building also houses signature programs such as the Jay H. Baker Retailing Center; the Harris Family Alternative Investments Program; and the Stevens Center for Innovation in Finance.
Academic Research Building
The new Academic Research Building provides an ideal environment for academic instruction, collaboration, and research. The building offers mixed-use space for Wharton faculty, students, and research programs, including those focused on data, analytics, and behavior. Technologically advanced classrooms and student workspaces dedicated to dynamic learning and teaching methods promote teamwork, problem solving, and experiential discovery.
Giving Definitions
Typically philanthropic commitments are paid over a period of three to five years.
Term Gifts
Term funding provides greater financial support upfront than an endowed gift and funding is spent down over a period of years.
Endowed Gifts
An endowed gift provides sustained funding that transforms a program or initiative. This level of philanthropy enables Wharton to confidently launch new initiatives and plan for future activities or address immediate needs.
Unrestricted Gifts
Unrestricted gifts mean that the donor allows Wharton to be flexible in spending the money. The annual fund, also known as The Wharton Fund, is the School’s unrestricted giving program and it helps the daily operations run smoothly, enabling innovation, and provides growth to our students.
