Terms and Conditions

  • You must be 18 years or over and must not be a resident of the European Economic Area. You may not be employed by the University of Pennsylvania. Void where prohibited. United States federal and state laws apply.
  • How to win: All Wharton alumni/ae are eligible to enter in the monthly drawings within their birth month. To do so, one must make an update or confirm that the information is correct on one’s MyPenn profile during the calendar month of their birth date. For example, any alumnus/a whose birthday is in April will receive an invitation to check/update their profile in April. If they do so from April 1st- 30th, they will be entered in the April drawing, which will occur in early May.
  • Winners will be contacted via email to receive Wharton paraphernalia, with choice of prizes to be determined at the Wharton School’s sole discretion. Completing this update or confirmation automatically enters an alumnus/a for a chance to win Wharton paraphernalia for that month. One entry per person, per calendar year.
  • No purchase, registration fee, or attendance is necessary. Wharton will use a randomizing tool to select from all valid entries received each month. To be eligible, you must have obtained an undergraduate or graduate degree from Wharton, or completed a Wharton sponsored program which grants Wharton alumni/ae status.
  • All eligible parties must update or verify their MyPenn profile information prior to 11:59 p.m. EST on the last day of each month. The winners will be notified by email by the 15th of the following month.
  • Once finalized in accordance with the previous paragraph, the determination of winners shall be will be final and legally binding.
  • The Wharton School does not accept any responsibility for submissions not received because they have not been entered correctly, or entries not received due to interrupted connections, miscommunications, or other electronic malfunctions or entries not received due to lost or late entries. Any entries found to be fraudulent will result in exclusion from the drawing.
  • The Wharton paraphernalia prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable, and cash alternatives will not be offered or available.
  • Entrants agree that the Wharton School and its affiliates and subsidiaries, as well as the School’s advertising and promoting agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents will have no liability whatsoever and will be held harmless by winners for any injuries, losses or costs or damage of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of a prize or parts thereof, or from participation in this promotion.
  • The Wharton School reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions and to suspend or terminate this promotion at any time and for any reason, without notice. The Wharton School makes no commitment to update information contained herein. It is a condition of entry that the rules are accepted as final, and that the entrants agree to abide by the rules.
  • The Wharton School reserves the right not enter into any correspondence on any matter relating to this promotion.
  • All winners should consult with their respective tax and legal advisors to determine whether any tax liability arises from their respective prizes.  Should tax liability arise, it is the responsibility of the winner to notify his or her own government’s relevant tax department. The Wharton School and any of its subsidiaries take no responsibility or liability for taxation or for any other costs incurred in connection with the prize received in this promotion.
  • These terms and conditions will remain in force through December 31, 2021.
  • This promotion is administered by the Wharton School, which is the sole promoter.
  • The Wharton School will treat all alumni/ae information in accordance with relevant law and its published Policy on the Privacy of Alumni Data as well as the University of Pennsylvania’s published Privacy Policy.
