Note from Quincy Williams, WG’57

Quincy Williams, WG'57I was fortunate to have Frank Parker as professor in two courses, Business Cycles and Commercial Credit. The former was the best course I had at Wharton and Dr. Parker was the best professor I had in college and graduate school: witty, provocative, with great sense of humor, challenging but fair, knowledgeable of his subject and a wordsmith. We seldom left class without a note to look up some word or term in the dictionary.

I suppose my fondest Wharton memory was when Dr. Keith, Chairman of the Finance Department and my thesis advisor, told me at the last minute that I had fulfilled my thesis requirement. A week earlier, before I had written the final several pages, he was not so sure.
